Hadiza Isma'il

CoFounder, Commercial Director and Chief Legal Officer

Hadiza Isma’il is the Cofounder, Commercial Director and Chief Legal officer of BrighterPath Global Ltd.

 

Her responsibilities include commercial negotiations and business development for the business, as well as legal support on contracts and IP protection.

 

Hadiza is also surveying potential customers for BrighterPath in West Africa and overseeing the R&D process to ensure that new products are designed to meet customer needs.

 

Hadiza is passionate about using her emerging market business and legal experience to launch BrighterPath, a socially impactful business aiming to increase access to off grid solar solutions in emerging markets and providing an environmentally friendly solution to energy access.

 

She has significant experience working in a commercial environment in emerging markets and brings this expertise to the business.

Prior to joining BrighterPath, Hadiza was an Associate and Member of the Corporate and Commercial Group of a large law firm in Lagos.

Alasdair Chesney

Co-Founder and CEO

Alasdair is the Cofounder and CEO of BrighterPath Global Ltd.

 

Through the development of key relationships that Alasdair holds with R&D expertise in the UK and solar panel manufacturing capabilities in Asia, BrigtherPath will help to enable greater access to innovative solar products in emerging markets.

 

Passionate about enabling greater access to affordable renewable sources of energy to help improve people’s livelihoods. 

 

The solutions that BrighterPath will be rolling out will be environmentally friendly, lower cost than the alternative of Kerosene alternative and the product will be designed to durable and suitable for rural regions.

 

Alasdair also has significant experience founding technology businesses which focus on emerging markets. 

Prior to launching BrighterPath, Alasdair successfully ran Send SMS which grew it to over 4 million users, which had significant traction in emerging markets.

B.A in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University

LL.B (Honors), University of Lagos

Member of the Nigerian Bar Association

Member of the International Bar Association.
